Crank Up the Fun Factor at Cycle Corner

If you think Hunterdon County is beautiful from the air above Alexandria Field, just wait until you’ve seen it up close and personal. From lush vegetation and teeming wildlife to picturesque rivers and quaint little towns, experiencing Hunterdon is a feast for the senses.

One of the best ways to experience Hunterdon’s splendor is by cycling through it, and when you’re punctuating an event at Skydive Jersey, the most convenient way to make it happen is to visit Frenchtown’s Cycle Corner (formerly Freeman’s Bicycle Shop, as old timers will recall).

A mere ten to fifteen minutes from Skydive Jersey, Cycle Corner’s full service shop is nestled in the heart of Frenchtown’s historic district at 52 Bridge Street – just a hop, skip, and a jump from the scenic Delaware River. During the winter months, they are open on the weekends. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, however, they are closed while Cycle Corner’s friendly, knowledgeable staff hit the trails themselves. Be sure to check their schedule before you head out, as seasonal hours may differ.

If you’re traveling light, and haven’t brought your own bike, Cycle Corner has you covered. You can rent a bike for the day, and enjoy all that north central New Jersey has to offer both amateur and seasoned cyclists. Rentals include a helmet and a lock, and can be booked for the day or for a just a few hours. There are plenty of bikes from which to choose, including mountain bikes for the kids for a family outing. For couples, consider renting a tandem cycle to transport you and your significant other to a romantic, riverside picnic in style.

For those who made the trip with their bike in tow, the shop offers a variety of accessories to make your ride even more spectacular. And should you encounter mechanical difficulties, the Corner’s repair facilities can have you back on the road in no time.

What better way to round out one of the most spectacular days of your life! When planning your Skydive Jersey experience, be sure to consider including a visit to Cycle Corner as part of the package. Whether a winding path near the river, an adventurous off-trail trek or a road trip through the borough of Frenchtown and beyond, you are in for an experience that may well become part of your go-to weekend getaway plans for years to come.
